DANBURY -- U.S. Rep Chris Murphy and his opponent, state Sen. David Cappiello, were neck and neck with fundraising during the last three months, according to figures released Tuesday.

Members of Cappiello's campaign said he raised approximately $445,000 from April 1 to June 30. Murphy, a first-term Democrat, raised about $515,000, according to officials with that camp.
